When we were looking for a new home, my husband and I found a house we fell in love with but the big concern was the water we saw in the basement. We asked around and Herb Fry Waterproofing was recommended. We met with Herb and he explained the process in detail and backed his work with a guarantee. We decided to move forward and are so happy we did. The crew came in, worked quickly and did a professional job. We wanted to finish the basement but waited until a big rainstorm in order to test the waterproofing - not a drop of water could be found! We are completely confident that we do not have to worry about any water issues. I would definitely recommend this company and this process.

We have had a problem on and off for years with water in one corner of the basement. Herb came out and looked at the problem, we scheduled the work and everything was done in a matter of hours. Did a great job putting in a sump pump in my basement a while ago. Had his men in and out in a day doing the drilling, installation of a french drain and cement work. Also included removal and installation of section of dry wall . Was honest, courteous and upfront and even threw in an additional discount to get the job. System was installed 1.5 years ago and working great since.

Herb Fry's team was professional and skilled. Their prices were competitive and their knowledge of remediation techniques was outstanding. His men showed up on time, were extremely polite, clean, neat, respectful. They didn't get annoyed when I asked questions. They told me throughout the day how the job was progressing. I had several concerns cutting back the studs (they were able to work around), flood testing and the drainage to the outside so that it would not freeze(freez stop) or be an eyesore(buried dicharge pipe) and they were very accommodating. I would recommend them and use them again.

All the employees of this company were a pleasure to work with. After the initial visit with their representative they submitted a bid in a timely manner. It explained exactly what they were planning to do to remedy the problem. They followed up with us on several occasions before we made our decision to hire them and really made us feel that they were serious about wanting to do the work for us. I would give them 3 1/2 stars. The reason being is that not all the beams were cleaned and they did not put in the drain under the hot water heater like it was stated in the contract. I had to have them come back to finish cleaning the beams and to add the drain. And they did not throw away one wooded bench that was suppose to go. Otherwise I would have given them a 4 or 5 stars. But like I said. I would recommend them. I feel if I was present the situation would have turned out differently. They did come back in a timely manner to remedy the situation.

He assessed my problem and gave me his recommendation. I signed an agreement that night. He called me the next day and arranged a date and time to start the project. His men showed up on time, were extremely polite, clean, neat, respectful. They didn't get annoyed when I asked questions. They told me throughout the day how the job was progressing. When the job was finished you didn't know you had 3 workmen in your house all day. Particularly since they were working in a crawl space all day. Since the job was completed we have had quit a bit of rain and I do not see any puddles in the crawl space and that awful mildew smell is gone!

The workers arrived on time and worked diligently throughout the day until the job was done. Areas of concern about the job that I had were addressed. The term 'waterproofing' is misleading, however, as the job done was an inside french drain - digging up around the perimeter of the basement floor and inserting a metal conduit below to allow water to drain to an installed sump pump; the floor around the perimeter was not cemented over and water may still come in. My basement stil smells damp (don't know what to do) but I guess it's what all 'waterproofing' companies do.

I apologize I can't speak to this customer in person because no name or address is provided but if a damp smells persists it may be caused by high relative humidity (common at this time of year) and a dehumidifier may need to be installed. I would be willing free of charge to hook the dehumidifier into the sump pump basin. I encourage all my customers to contact me for any reason.
